'Zootopia 2' will be the first film in the franchise to feature birds, reptiles, amphibians, primates, and marine animals, expanding beyond the all-mammal cast of the original.

Michael Giacchino returns as the composer for 'Zootopia 2', marking the third time a Pixar composer has scored a Walt Disney Animation Studios feature film, following 'The Princess and the Frog' (2009) and the original 'Zootopia' (2016).

Shakira reprises her role as Gazelle in 'Zootopia 2' and has written a new song titled 'Zoo' for the film, which was released as a single on October 10, 2025.
